Policies (so everything feels clear and calm)

These policies protect your time, my time, and the quality of your result — especially for colour work.

Most important
Colour Consultation is the safest starting point
If you’re unsure what to book, have colour history or box dye, or you’re changing your colour, please start with a consultation.
Quick guide

How booking works

Deposits
A deposit may be required to secure appointments, especially for colour work. Deposits are taken off your final bill unless stated otherwise.
Cancellations
Please give notice so I can offer the slot to another client. Short-notice cancellations may lose the deposit.
Lateness
If you’re late, we may need to shorten the service to protect other bookings.

Need clarity?

Not sure what to book?

Start with a consultation and I’ll recommend the safest route to your goal.

  • A deposit may be required to secure appointments (especially for colour services and longer bookings).
  • Deposits are typically deducted from your final bill on the day of your appointment.
  • Deposits are non-refundable for late cancellations/no-shows (see cancellation policy below).
Update before launch
Insert your exact deposit amount (e.g., “£XX”) and whether it is refundable under any conditions.

  • Please give as much notice as possible if you need to cancel or reschedule.
  • Short-notice cancellations may result in loss of deposit (as the slot is difficult to refill).
  • No-shows typically lose the deposit and may require full payment for missed time for future bookings.
Please note:
If you need to cancel, we need a minimum of 48 hours notice.

  • Please arrive on time. Colour appointments are time-sensitive and carefully scheduled.
  • If you arrive late, your appointment may be shortened to protect other clients’ bookings.
  • If we can’t complete the service due to lateness, it may be treated as a late cancellation.

Some colour services may require a patch test and/or strand test — especially for new clients, colour corrections, or those with colour history.

  • Patch tests check for sensitivity/allergic reaction risk.
  • Strand tests help us predict lift, tone, and hair strength before a bigger change.
  • If required, we’ll schedule this before your main appointment.
  • Patch tests need to be scheduled at least 48 hours before your main appointment.

Colour correction often needs a plan — not a “one appointment fix”. This protects hair health and improves end results.

  • Results vary depending on previous colour/box dye, build-up, and hair condition.
  • Some goals require multiple sessions to achieve safely.
  • We’ll set expectations clearly during the consultation.
Good to know
If you have box dye history, please be honest — it affects safety and predictability.

  • RoseRico is a calm, one-to-one home studio environment.
  • Please attend alone unless we’ve agreed otherwise in advance.
  • For safety and focus, children should not attend appointments.

  • Final pricing may vary based on hair length, density, product used, and time required.
  • For complex work, the consultation helps us quote more accurately.
  • Preferred payment methods will be confirmed at booking.

I want you to love your colour. If something feels off, please contact me promptly so we can assess.

  • Notify us within a set window (e.g., 72 hours) if you believe an adjustment is needed.
  • Adjustments are assessed case-by-case, depending on the concern and hair condition.
  • Home aftercare (heat/water/products) can affect tone — we’ll discuss maintenance at your appointment.
Polite note
Policies help keep the studio calm and fair. If you have any questions, just ask.
